Vibration problem
The vibration started right after i installed the new tranny, clutch, and flywheel. I know my tires are balanced, and besides, I can feel the vibration in the shifter, so i dont think its the tires. But I will try rotating the driveshaft and see if that does any good.
Marking the driveshaft is definately overrated. Just like marking a wheel stud and bolt hole to return a wheel back to it's original position in relation to a brake rotor.
First confirm it's driveshaft related. Drive 60 or more. Where the vibration is the worst. Now drop it down a gear and maintain the same speed.
If the vibration changes you need to focus on engine speed related vibrations. Clutch, flywheels, pilot bearing etc.

Nothing! In 20 some years of working on cars, I have never marked one or had a problem. The drive shaft is balanced before it goes in the car, not after. It's just an old wives tale.
Edit, lol portmaster, I just read your response and saw the same thing I said. Guess I should read the whole thread before I respond huh?
