I would suggest taking it somewhere and put it on a lift and get a good look underneath. There you can look at the real car and check for rust, torque box damage and previous accidents. I'd look down the frame rails, look for rust on the brake lines. Pay to have the wheels removed and check the brakes, look underneath for oil leaks, exhaust system. For my regular customers I offered this service for free. For the first time customer is was a 20 dollar charge. Of course we listened to the obvious things and drove it around the block and gave an unbiased opinion. While nobody can tell you whats going to happen next with a car because each time you turn the key you are a step closer to a breakdown but paying someone who knows the cars to look at it is a worthwhile expence. It may very well only have 45K on the clock. I have worked on a lot of low mile older cars. I run into them often. Especially Verts

how could you possibly make an assumption like that? with out even seeing the car or its condition? thats like the price of a good roller or a pos. i wouldnt let my car go for any less than $3500.

Because that is all I would give for one with faded paint and bad interior. If it has stock exhaust, you can bet the aluminum is rusted through. Plus there is always somehting wrong with them. Would you give 3500 for my 93 without ever seeing it?
