I have a tremec 3550 and was wondering, how do I confirm it is a TKO?

I'm pretty sure that the tko's were made to replace the 3550 but check the number on the casing

Well I say TKO, I mean upgraded to the TKO. This transmission was bought before the TKO 500 or 600 came out. The guy had told me when he bought it he replaced the 3rd gear because it was broke and got the upgrade to a TKO. A few years later I bought it from him. I am going to run the transmission regardless over the T-5, it just would be nice to know though.

Get the numbers off of it and call tremec.

That is the the thing, it originally was a standard 3550. It was supposedly upgraded when he bought the gear from Tremec. The upgrade was 125 dollars then.
