gt40 tubular intake

well im going to meet the guy later on today but i wanted to know is it the same type of gasket that the stock one uses and is it a hard thing to do will i have to remove distributor to switch everything out

No, the stock style gaskets will not work. The upper to lower gasket is Fel-Pro QMS95953. Down the road you may want to invest in a phenolic spacer. It helps dissipate heat from the manifold. Installing the intake manifold should take half a day if you have never done it before. You do have to remove the dizzy. It's pretty straight forward though(Chilton or Haynes are good books for help) Just take your time.

I'd ****** that puppy up, hell Ive seen the cover plate for those things go for 100+ bucks on ebay, just for the sheetmetal cover...

well i got it and it did take a while to install but i got it on now and the gazket # that was posted on here the last numer was wrong they kept trying to type it in into their computers at autozone and it would not come up till i called the guy i got it from and said just to get it from an 96 explorer 5.0 and all the numbers matched exept the last one it was suppose to be a 2, i just have a problem with the distriutor timing i cant get it right at the number 1 line does it have to be exactly with the line. heres a pic of the intake, hopefully i dont get no leaks of antifreeze or anything tomorrow when i start it.
