But it doesn't make sense... it ran on all cylinders before. it idled and sounded perfect until you gave it gas at which point it would spark knock..

Well I'm back from my road trip to Virginia... 24 hour drive one way. But anyhow, something that came to mind was that with the dual plain intake (air gap) one plain goes to 2358 and the other goes to 1467(ones that won't work). Only thing left that I can think of is that maybe the carb isn't squirting on one side (although very unlikely I know) but it's all I got left... I'll go and check it out at some point. Other then that... just gonna have a beer and part out the car... sell the shell. Enoughs enough.

i had a similar problem, but that was cause i didn't change out the fuel eccentric for the mechanical fuel pump... so it barely ran till it shattered and didn't run at all.

you really don't believe that's the problem do you?I've been running on mine for about 4 months without a single problem.
