92 5.0 turns but wont start
heres a thought, if my dist. has some bad internals, that would mean putting it in another 5.0 would cause the same problem to else one correct? because if i can get my dist. out and try it in a friends car than its a fact this is the problem? but would this cause a chain reaction of problems for him? i don't want to take the car from the dealer unless im positive i can find the problem, i originally sent it to them to "only" find the problem because i couldn't and as for those black rectangle boxes mounted in front of the strut on pass. side. i replaced one of them not sure how the hell to tell them apart but the one i was aiming for is the relay. i interchanged them both hoping which ever is bad would have been removed but neither changed anything though 1 is new and the other isn't
well i didnt bother pulling codes simply because i felt if the dealler couldnt find the problem them my little number reading box wasnt gonna do it, but i already started pulling the front end off, i need the crank pulley and the harmonic balancer and the timing cover is off. but i fear im not gonna see anything wrong... any suggestions afterwards? if this isn't the problem?
well im back, no surprise and losing interest in the whole thing but still trying.
alright the front end is off the timing chain and gears are all fine no problems timing is correct. no play in chain. my last few ideas are to try brand new coil/dis/ injector harness.
but before all i will be tearing off a valve cover to see if all my lifters are moving i thought in the begining it might be a cam, and now i ran into a mustang freak in person who also asked this question so if anyone else has any very strong beliefs or past exp. with solutions im all ears. next weekend i have off so then is when i will try
