I think I may have got it. I bought a new 180 degree thermostat and drilled a hole at 12 o'clock and the problem went away I guess. I have only driven it a few miles. It started to get up over 200 hundred sitting in the yard. I drove it down the road and it came back down. I guess now all I need is an electric fan or new fan clutch.
