Well, first of all its not **** steering and its not only for less drag. I'm going to go ahead and assume most people do it for looks and to get rid of the annoyingly loud/leaky pump that comes on these cars from the factory. I converted mine, no regrets. I can only say make sure you get yourself a bumpsteer kit along with the purchase of a manual rack.
my buddy plugged his rack thing sucks *** to turn. But he left the fluid in it. Not sure if you still have fluid in it. I went full manual because of the reduced weight and my pump was going.
