Default machine shop just called back, not so good news..

Dropped off my GT40's to have them hot tanked and magnufluxed this morning. Just got a call back saying both were warped, D/S has a crack (which explains why it was overheating and i was getting combustion gasses in the coolant), and both heads need a valve job. The good news is my machinist said he can easily repair them. good thing i'm getting a new shortblock, i'm sure it's F'd too!

valve job, crack in one head and both need decking??? sounds like the money to take to fix them could be better invested in a new or used set of aluminum heads, just my opinion though, if it were me

now is the perfect opportunity not to waste money and upgrade. you'll just be left wanting more later so then your 230 dollars will be wasted.

Step back, consider the opinions listed. Buy better heads and do not look back.

225 for a set of gt40s vs. scrap prices, fix them anyways.
