I think an 8.2" motor could fulfill ANY power level you want to make. So that is where my vote is. Keep the heavy, slow-revving 351W's in pickup trucks (installs flame suit)

But seriously, that sucks about the oil pressure. Rebuild it cheap and enjoy the rest of the season.

Well any aftermarket block will be fine. Or even a 60's 289 block would hold close to what a windsor would IMO. It's just money man

Not saying that you installed / wired the gauge wrong, but a bad connection anywhere in the circuit can make a huge difference in readings. Good luck with your car man, I hate putting my heart, soul, and cash into mine, and then having it not work correctly, haha.

Also far fetched, but your flywheel has a 50 OZ. imbalance, and MUST be aligned correctly. Did you install it in exactly the same position as it came off the crank in?

Not trying to make you sound like an idiot, just trying to help =S

His flywheel should only go one way typically. But if it doesn't then you are right. It would be like taking weight out of the wrong angle of the counterweight.

yea I understand.

no, the flywheel can only be installed one way, which keeps it in balance.

yea, at least its pretty much undeniable proof.

going to call the local performance shop on money and get a quote for them to go through the motor with me tearing it down and giving them all the parts, to measure and fix any issues with the crank/rods, maybe new pistons, and to put it back together properly for me.
