Default what ignition box?

Pricing things out for my rebuild today...

one of the things I would like to get is an ignition box, as I believe over revving the motor a few times when missing gears is what did most the damage to the motor.

looking at summit, there are way to many choices on ignition boxes. prices ranging from $150 to $300+

I'm mainly just looking for a rev limiter, a little extra spark for the nitrous. and maybe a 2 step. still not sure if I want/need a 2 step.

what are you guys using that work well? I would like something easy to use/wire/mount.

Purchased a Summit house brand, no problems. Used their billet distributor also. Wiring adapter they sell makes it neat and quick.

one of the things im worried about with the 2 step is the nitrous.

if the 2 step allows you to hold it at WOT, and be ready to launch, then you cant really use a WOT switch, or even a window switch...

i would think the only way to use nitrous, and a 2 step, would to have a WOT switch set up perfect, and when your ready to launch, hold the throttle at 3/4 for the 2 step, then you would have to launch and go WOT to activate the nitrous....

what do you think prime?

you hook up the bottle yet?

I do have it on but haven't even used it yet. I have a window switch with a gear lockout, I was hoping to lockout first and use the 2step then have the nitrous kick in when I shift to second. It all doesn't matter anymore anyways since I'm putting in an auto now
