Default ?????? new rubber selection

This is my issue and this is my current setup i need opinions on how to correct this!

I have 275/60/15 mickey radials, tire press 10lbs eibach drag launch suspension with 10lbs in the bag, i hvae lakewood 70/30 struts and 50/50 rears, i left here at idle and this is the result if i leave any higher than 2000rpm its alot worse.

I had the same exact setup on the same kinda car and with 150 off the line on a 308, leaving at 3000rpm hooked light a charm!

What gives?

No wonder. Looks like you are using reverse.

If you launch in first, the marks will be behind your car.

Anyways, onto the issue at hand. That is alot of rubber for a low 8 sec 1/8.
You say it's the same set up but your sig mentions 347 vs 308 cubic inch. That's a pile of more low end torque to deal with.

Also... it says your new car gets a better 60' than your old one, how is it hooking worse?

the old car with the 308 and 150 shot had a 1.61 best 60, and the 347 n/a best was 1.82, I do believe that if i can fix the issue at hand then i wont have an 8 sec car any longer lol!

If i left at the track above 2000rpm then my 60 went from 1.8 to 2.22, mph never changed any though!

i started at 6lbs in the bag and went up to 10, my tire pressure i started at 16 and went to 10, so it wasnt that i didnt try different things from the look of the marks i could use a pound or two more in the bag since the right mark is lighter than the left.

the 60 in the old sig was never changed after it got better is all!

I am just going to take a wild guess that your tires are dry rotted

No the tires arent dry rotted you can still push your fingers into the rubber like when they were first bought! there not hard radials there mickey drag radials!

Second the suspension is as follows i have lakewood 70/30 struts and 50/50 rear, eibach drag launch springs and right rear bag! no front or rear sway bar! I have heard of the dual bag setups would that be a route to consider?

Actually I'm having the same issues...I'm running MT Drag Radials 275/60/15...373, Strange 10 ways, Team Z ARB, Drag springs...Viper Spec T56 and even leaving off the 2 step, I am spinning all the way though the 60 ft. I do a 10 second burnout, but still cant hook. The front is all AJE tubular, coil overs 14" 175lb etc. Pinion -3* RWHP 620...I keep hearing and seeing other guys running the MT 275 having the same issues?
