Removing ignition key switch

Just bought a 1985 Mustang GT at auction with no key's. Pulled steering wheel but couldn't get lock out. Book shows removing with "key" in on position. If I had a key I wouldn't be removing. Need some help here.

Competent lock smith can make a key for you. Other way is to drill it out and buy new key and tumbler. Lock smith may be alot easier.
