What would you pay for a turbo kit...
So I am negotiating with a company to get a single or twin Turbo kit put on my 2011 5.0... and I am trying to figure out what price is a good deal.
Is 6 grand a good deal for getting it installed, and letting them test on my car? This means take loads of pictures have press release, design it on my car, do burnouts with my car etc... I dont feel like this is anything off and that I have gotten much better discounts from other companies that arent even getting my car to use?!?!

JMHO, it is after all, your money, but 6k using your car for a test car?

Yeah, I think it should be free haha.. They keep saying that I am only paying for parts, which is bull because they make their own turbo, so they are not using 6k in metal and crap... I agree with you and am going to do some smaller mods like suspensions and exhaust while I save for a whipple or something..

I would go with small turbos, therefore twin turbos. A single very massive one is only useful for top speed high end massive HP.
With very small multiple turbos, that would be more ideal for street driving, especially for the acceleration.
As for the price of $6K? They should give you the turbos installed for free, and they should pay YOU since your car is the guinea pig. And what if they blow up your car while testing the system on it? They sure better pay for it!

So yeah the will not be using my car. They cannot come down anymore and just want to rip someone off and pass on their R and D cost to the first customer. A twin kit from them was 10k+ with no gauges etc.. I will not be dealing with these guys again. I am saving up for the Ford Racing 624 kit now...

Damn straight! 624 crank BHP & 536 ft-lbf crank torque! Nice mechanical compressor!
I would get one too, but right now, I am stand-offish, been reading and reading and reading about mods as much as possible, I have yet to get a tune and tuner, but I guess it's time for me to stop posing and jump into it!
For forced induction, be it turbos or a mechanical compressor, I am going to wait just a tad longer, primarily because I don't have the cash, but also, because there are not compressor maps yet for the ones for the coyote.
BTW, for the 624 crank HP Ford Racing compressor, if your find a compressor map for it please do post it up so I can make a comparison and also choose my pulley ratios correctly to time the best efficiency with the best meat of the Coyote's torque curve.
