Do either of these fix the fact that I feel the syncros or gears when I shift even if I go slow? Just really feel the metal sometimes more than others.

I just installed my MGW a couple of days ago. I love the feel of it. For me, I feel those shifts when it is colder, as it warms up, it tends to go away. I have heard changing the trans fluid should help that as well.

Ditto that. I swapped transmission fluid to Redline MTL when I changed my shifter out. As soon as the transmission warms up, it is very smooth. Cold shifts still have that wierd feeling. Does not take long for the fluid to warm up even on the mornings when it is 25 or so.

I've got a barton installed in mine. took all of 45-60 minutes to install up on jack stands (damn rubber boot took the longest). I love the shifter. haven't missed a gear since installing it.

I've got the Barton with bracket. Installed well over a year ago.
Love the shifter.

I've got the Barton with the old style bracket. It's a great improvement over stock but I still miss 2nd-3rd about half the time at high rpms. I somehow land in between 1st & 3rd. If I had it to do over again I'd go with the MGW.

I already have switched to redline MTL. It has showed noticeable improvement over stock fluid. Still present during warm shifts sometimes. Thanks for the inputs and I think I will save for mgw
