Default Bought my first tuner! Help from the experts...

Hello! First post [I think]! Just bought an unmarried SCT SF3 3015 for my 2012 GT. It comes with two tunes. Was wondering your thoughts on what I should go with...

K&N Blackhawk CAI
Borla ATAK axle back
Ford Performance X-pipe

Will the "performance" tune be good for this setup, or do you have advice for a custom tune?

Love you guys and any feedback is appreciated!

And if it matters, I'm focused on straight line speed, and not too worried about mpg.

Welcome! 1-your 12' GT comes with a factory "CAI". 2- the axle backs (any brand) don't need a tune, just for sound. 3- see last part of 2. a good custom tune (on a dyno) is your best bet for optimizing your engine. you can get email tunes from tuners of your choice (Lito, Brenspeed, Steeda..etc NOT Bama) that can get you more HP for cheaper than a dyno tune. if all your worried about is going fast in a straight line, upgrade your suspension and tires. some will say that 2 and 3 will gain HP, yes, probably so but not a noticeable enough gain to warrant the cash output unless they are parts to enhance certain engine HP upgrades. again welcome, and good luck!

I get better MPG from the 93 Performance Tune than the Economy 87.

I have the 93 Tune, chose the K&N FIPK intake, and firm shifting. Runs good.

Where did the tunes come from? Usually they are specific to a PCM code so if someone bought it for their car and PCM code, they may not necessarily work for yours because the fuel mapping will be wrong. You will need to buy tunes for your PCM code.
