P0345 code
Its a 2012 Boss 302 it seems to run fine but definetly feels down on power in the upper rpm sometimes. Threw a p0345 about a month ago so i swapped both cam sensors to the passenger side. P0345 came back a few weeks later.
Sensor A bank 2 is the drivers side intake sensor?
All 4 vct sensors ohm out the same. I havent pulled the valve cover to check the screens or the cam phaser.
I assume its a wiring issue going back to the pcm.
Any ideas?

P0345 is most commonly linked with a failing alternator on these cars. When the alts rectifier starts to fail, it throws out a squared sine wave that interferes with the Cam sensor signal so, the computer thinks it's a cam sensor and spits out P0345. The alternator is probably charging fine but it's on it's way out (actually already gone out) since you have that code.
This seems really dumb but...how's the oil level?

Fine, I actually just changed the oil. I'm going to yank the valve cover tomorrow and swap the vct sensors and check them for any crap in the screen.
If the same code comes back I guess I have a bad cam phaser. At that point I might throw in a set of cams.
