Yeah the Passport 8500 is pretty good. I've had mine for over 2 years- no tickets-knock on wood. The Valentine is probably a bit more sensitive, and longer range, but the Passport has sick anti-falsing cicuitry and an automatic mode that keeps the highway range, but adds even more anti-falsing. If I had to do it all over again, I'd probably go with the Valentine one though, it's the shiznit. Don't buy a cheap detector, it's barely enough range with the expensive ones.

Hard to say. I've never heard of that brand. I've ALWAYS bought Escorts and just recently a Valentine One.
Sidewayz, which one do you prefer? The Valentine or the Escort? And why?

I know that detectors are illegal in VA, but not sure about jammers, probably are though. If they catch you with one in VA, doesn't matter if it is off or on, you get the speeding ticket plus a ticket for the detector and they can consfiscate the detector too!
Personally, I've never really seen the need to have one as I don't drive that much over the limit myself, much less 120 mph.

Detectors are illegal in DC and VA as stated, and Jammers are 50 state illegal.

*L* are detector illeagal*LMAO* ISN'T SPEEDING?!..I use mine every day goin down 64/95.....but doing 120 in a 65 there is NO detector that can give you enough time..you were just lucky..most give you enough time for like 10-15 over...valentine maybe 20....but hell I do 75-80 in a 65 that fast enough for the car I have and me to control if something bad goes wrong.....
..at 120 if a tire lets go you make not make it.....I have taken the police driver training and some road racing coarses..I had a blow out @ 135 one night in my z28...no problem other than I did loss the rim... I didn't freak and slam the brakes just rode it out.....if you don't have Z rated tires at 120mph a blow out can occur
