Default Question....

I'm looking to up my system alittle more, but the thing is my car has a mach system in it...and I work for best buy..so you know im getting some great deals but what their telling me is that I have to have all these extra parts and wires because of the system already in there? Is it true? And if so do I just leave what I have in there?? OR do I do all this rewiring and added parts to get the sound I want?

Your mach system has a factory amplifier that you will have to bypass. Most places online that sell audio equipment for the mustand with the mach system also includes some kind of kit to bypass that amp. Actually I think they offer you the kit to bypass it or the kit to just use the amp with your system. Luckily I do not have the mach system in my 95 so I don't have this problem. I think if you get that kit it's no big deal though.

my brother added a sub in his 03GT with another amp, it wasnt a problem at all. Do you have an aftermarket deck?

you need an aftermarket deck if you want good sound period. Then all you need to do to bypass the stock amps is run aftermarket speaker wire from the head unit directly to each speaker. Itll sound TONS better!

dude you dont have to bypass the amp at all. i just put a new headunit in my 04 gt. it has the stock mach system in it too. all you need is a premium sound wiring harness and youre good to go. if you wanna put an aftermarket headunit in it...you will have to buy a wiring harness anyways. gimme a message if you have any trouble or questions about wiring it up. oh and theres 2 parts of the wiring harness. one of them is the regular harness which connects the headunit to all the usual speakers and power antenna, and all that good stuff. the other harness( which comes in the pack) has rca's and a power amp wire. since the mach system has 2 amplifiers you have to connect these two power amp wires to the single one that comes out of the harness.
