Between the Power Wire and battery theirs a spot that says Remote, Do i need to hook this up? Appreciate the help with my amature questions

 

yes...thats what turns the amp on so its not constantly draining power from your car while your car is off. look in the wiring harness of your head unit if u got an aftermarket there should be a wire labeled (remote turn on or something). usually a blue wire. you gotta run a wire from that to your trunk and put that in the remote.
