If there is a dimmer wire, it is probably the orange wire on headunit's wiring harness, don't quote me on that. Check for any writing on the wires in the wiring harness. Did it come with a installation manual?

Default RE: dimmer?

cheap head unit = not many features

theres no easy way to wire the headunit to the dimmer controll in the car (without opening the headunit, having a extensive understanding of circuitry, being a great soldererand voiding your warenty on ur radio) however better radios sometimes have an accessory control wire not to be confused with the remote wire. The accessory wire tells the radio when the headlights turn on so that the radio dims with the rest of the buttons in the dash and the gauges. I doubt a dual has this feature. Also some radios have an internal dimming setting you can play with. Hope this helps!!!
