Default Fiberglass Box

I'm wondering how to make my own fiberglass sub box. I know the basics but was looking for a guide or some instructions i could go by as a reference. I think i could probably figure it out but its the details that I'm a little confused on, as to what type of fiberglass resin to use and the type of fabric/fleece that you put the resin onto, also what kind of fiberglass matting is used. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Default RE: Fiberglass Box

its easy, come up wih a concept of how you want it. If you want 2 subs on each side and an amp in the middle, then create a jig with two rings, build an amp rack, place it on a sheet of MDF that is sized for the vehicle floor. Stretch material and staple/nail the material to all the edges you want to create. Make sure amp box is accessible, Use thick material such as 1/8th in fleece. Use the cheap bondo brand fiberglass. cover and let dry repeat about 10 times or until you cannot flex fiberglass material with firm pressure. Sand and paint or wrap with prefered material. From experience, Cut the sub holes out before you spread fiberglass resein onto box. Just make sure you stapled all the way around the ring.
