Default Couple of quick questions

I have a 2000 Mustang coupe, with the Mach 460 sound system, but my cd player and door speakers are going bad.

1.) I have the option to by a sony Xplod CD player for a good deal, 2 years old and only 40 bux. How hard will it be to replace the factory cd player?

2.) I also have a chance to purchase 2 door speakers, 5x7 Explods, for 30 bux that were in a Ford Escape. Will those fit in my Mustang?

Thanks in advance for the info.

the cd player is an easy swap, I cover installation on page 2 of my cardomain page. The factory woofers will be more difficult to replace because while they are a standard size(5 x 7)they are a non-standard impedence(8 ohm). If you slap in a standard 4 ohm speaker the factory amp will not be happy. Since you are replacing the deck you can bypass the factory amp and run the new 4 ohm speaker off of the sony deck. You will need to take the signal that is going to the tweeters in the doors and put that to the new speaker.
