Aftermarket amp hookup question regarding pre-outs
Question for you guys;
I've done a handful of headunit installs (Pioneer, JVC, Aiwa) and in every case, the headunit had a Red/White subwoofer pre-out set that I would connect to the amp. I just put a JVC KW-AVX810 headunit in and it only has a single subwoofer pre-out connector. The installation instructions don't really help, as they show it going to a single input JVC amp (And the JVC website doesn't even list a single-input amp), but I was wondering if I'm just supposed to run a white(Left) channel to the aftermarket amp? Has anyone ever seen this kind of setup?

when I look at the specs for that deck on
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...KW-AVX810.html
it says"3 Sets of 5V preamp outputs (front, rear and subwoofer) + center channel output "

Thanks for the reply; I guess they loosely mean "sets"
Below is a screenshot from the installation instructions
It shows a pair of "Front" pre-outs, "Rear" pre-outs and a single "Subwoofer" pre-out. The amp arrived today, so I'm going to teardown the dash and install tomorrow. Hopefully, unless anyone else replies, I can pull this off.

that is a little strange...... Most recording have the bass recorded in mono so it is not a big deal. If you need to split it you can do this easily with an rca Y-splitter. Make sure you have the correct one as there are two depending on how many male or female ends you have and need.
Yeah it is strange. Jensen has done this the last couple of years, so I guess JVC is following in there foot steps.
Your right bass is recorded mono, so you do not need the left and right audio of the rca, but why is my question on why they give you a single output just so you have to buy more stuff to make it work. I guess.
