Custom Sub Box
#4
never do ebay, do it yourself or youll have to pay to have someone do it. It really isnt hard at all. If you can cut wood, glue, screw, drill, draw, measure, and work with hand tools, it is not hard at all.
Start out by making templates for the base, then cut your piece out of 3/4" MDF board. after you get that, just start making every side, glueing, screwing, and cutting. If you had a S197 I would have done it for ya
Plus the subwoofers you have will ultimately determine how much space should be on the inside of the box, too little or too much space will not make your subs sound good. Thats why prefabed boxes can not be trusted for the right sound. It will work but wont sound as good as it should

Figure out what sub you want first so you know the correct cubic feet you need in your box. Do the math to figure out your internal and external volumes (if your dimensions equal 2ft^3, it isn't actually that becuase the boards take up room, it would be less internal..). Make a box out of cardboard to make sure it fits correctly in your trunk. Then make the box with MDF
