Do some research because it is not a straight forward install for the mach 460 system. You will need to purchase proper wiring harnesses. There are a few other things you will need to do but I can't remember (senior moment). I just decided to have a profesional install it. It was not that much money so I just let them do it.

dragul you could not be any more wrong. There are maybe 2 exta steps that you do in the mach that you don't do to a standard one but the overall install is cake.

Hit me up when you have question or feel free to look over page 2 of my cardomain page where I show how to do it.

Hey thanks for the help. But I agree, I had already tore apart the stock stereo to try and fix it. It is pretty straight forward, so I should be okay with the install, just not sure what to go with.

ttocs how do you figure I am wrong. You yourself stated that there is a few extra steps that you normally would not have to do, to a normal system. As I stated I did not remember the steps. I told him to look up the info. Excuse me if I do not install radios for a living. You say there are a couple extra steps. Same thing I said but worded differently. So again how am I wrong? I did not give any advice except to do a search himself. Why don't you learn how to read before you bash on someone.

premium systems are often ran so that you have to gut them, the mach is not and is actually the easiest premium system to integrate a deck into. Yes there are exactly 2 extra steps that you might need to do(depending on what deck you get and what you want) but you can also just wire it up and slap it in. I can put a basic deck into a mach system faster then I could with most gm's for the lack of the disassembly. taking the dash apart to get to the deck is generally the hardest part of which on mine I do nothing, on others you might have to pop two panels out. it doesn't get any easier then the ford keys....

I have been installing stereos for 15 yrs and it still amazes me how afraid of the mach people are. It really is not as big a deal as most people/places will make it out to be so don't believe the hype.

Next time rather then telling someone you think it might be hard feel free to send them my way or direct them to page 2 of my cardomain page. Rather then scare them send them to here and we will help them.

Where did I ever say it might or may be hard? But there are some people with horrible mechanical/electrical ability. And I have seen it first hand. I am sure, being you have done install for 15 years you have seen crap wiring jobs and connections held and insulated with masking tape etc... . I told him to research the install. Not my intention to scare him. I may have read about doing the install from the info you have posted. And I was not afraid of my install just lazy. I was at the car audio store to buy new head unit. Installers standing around doing nothing and 25 dollars later new radio in the car. My advice to him was not to go back to another stock head unit.

by saying it is not a straight forward install in the first line of your post asking me I would assume that would mean it is a harder then normal install, or what were you trying to get across in that sentence? Not sure why you want to argue but don't care, like I said just direct them to me and we can get them through it. No need to dwell on it and waste bandwidth....
