The ground wire should have a ring terminal on the end. Find a bolt behind the radio in the dash, loosen it, put the ring terminal on it, and secure it by tightening the bolt back up. There are two bolts that will work behind the dash if I remember correctly. The ground is critically important to the function of your radio, so taping it to a metal surface will not work.

I just taped it up for a quick test, I wasn't planning on leaving it like that long term. The more important issue is getting everything functional before I put the dash back together.

what model pac harness did you use, also there should be a black ground wire in the harness to use.

It was a PAC C2R-FRD1. I have the ground pretty much figured out, I was just unsure where to attach it to on the car.

I just read on the AVIC-411 where someone had the same issue I did, but no one responded. He said that what he had heard was to attach the 2 Blue/White Wires together, and then splice the antennae wire into that same connection. I guess I'll try this, because everything is connected other than that.

Also, the PAC Harness has a Red/White Parking Brake Wire. Does this need to be spliced into the green parking brake wire that I have running to ground for the bypass? Right now I just didn't connect the Red/White Wire to anything.

Yeah you should hook the light green to the red/white, also it will be fine to hook the amp turn on wire from the pioneer to the blue and blue/white on the pac harness.

Okay, I'll go do that. I'm not sure if the other choices that I made last night were correct, but I'll work on this right now.

I also need to route the GPS antenna and the BT mic. Once I get that done I need to work on the wire management as well. There is so much going on back in there, but I want to make sure my connections are right before I start zip tying things.

I've gotten everything routed, but no instructions anywhere explain how to plug the "Antenna In" cable into the radio. It's on the opposite side of the back of the pioneer, and there is absolutely no give in the antenna in from the car. It doesn't reach, but no one has even included this in any write up.

This is so damn frustrating. I don't understand how none of the write-ups explain how to hook the radio up to the radio...that seems like a pretty important thing.

Look to see how the antenna cable is routed...you should be able to reroute it to give you enough slack.

It was clamped down with some plastic things. I've popped them out and I have a tiny bit of slack, but I still can't get the cable in the input. Im not sure if it's the wrong size or if I just need to keep trying, but im frustrated to the point of taking a break right now.
