New Subs
and also i might be a newbie here but i am a very well respected member of many other forums and my knowledge of car audio is well above yours.
I can and have designed and built bandpass boxes for the h2's. Using Theile/Small parameters to Directed Electronics specs. You don't know what I know so stop talking trash.
why should i give you respect when you say a dumbass answer like that if you knew what you knew you wouldnt even of suggested that. so you can design and build one but can the guy you suggested it to. also bandpass boxes are for certain applications and do you know exactly what he wanted out of his subs? no you dont so it was stupid of you to suggest that setup so i know your dumbass for suggesting that.
You have a 98 V6 all stock that came with a Cobra hood? Weird. Tapout, im sorry but I have to say the W3v2 wouldn't keep up with the 7500 and for the $30 more, no competititon. Worked with them both 7500 is a better subwoofer if you setup both of them to equal respects. No one can say Alpine is not a awesome company. There are defiantly companies out there that make better cd players, better speakers, better woofers. But none of them have consistently great products and a nationally recognized name like Alpine. Whether you go with the 7500 MTX, or the Type-R's you'll be extremly happy. Make sure you don't skeet out on the amp either. I see kids that buy the biggest baddest woofer and a weak, over-rated amp and they'll come in complaining because it sounds like crap. Whats great about both of those subs you can build a box and still get 2-12's in there you'll just have to put your box in through the back seat. You have 11 1/2" of top to bottom clearance and mid-30" left to right. That 11 1/2" is burnt into my memory. P.S. if you take out the back seat you'll have 13 1/2". Good Luck. I know 2 people that have the Type-R's one has 2 new 12" models in an Explorer, with a 400 watt RMS RF amp, it's pretty loud for how small the amp is. The other has 2 12" last year models (w/o the HAMR surround) in a CRX with a 400 watt RMS MTX amp, not quite as loud as the ones in the Explorer but close. Both are underpowered and still pound pretty good. The only advantage both of those cars have over yours is the SUV and hatchback will, simply put, make the bass seem louder because of the obstruction free air space.
