Do you know which one yours has? I'm thinking the clutch might not be the same for both.
I agree with this comment!
The TR3650 had the larger unit.

If its your car the best way to know if its a Bullitt is pop the hood and look at the intake. If it looks large and all metal with a Cobra twin Throttle Boody, odds are you have a Bullitt.

The shock tower stickers can wear out. Wings, gas cap covers, and fog lights can be added easy.

The intake, c-pillars and side scoops, seats, intrument cluster, and door stills would be the best way to tell if its a Bullitt.

You can also tell it's a genuine Bullitt if the underside of the hood is clearcoated.

I believe it depends where your motor was manufactured. Romeo or Windsor??? Not sure on that one, but I remember that one place or the other had larger clutch/different bolt pattern. I know this is true on the Bullitt, but not sure on the GT's as well. I had the 01 True Blue Bullitt, best color of the bunch IMO.

Ford changed transmissions midway through 2001 so that would be why the clutch was the wrong size, they went from a 10 1/2 inch clutch earlier in the year to an 11 inch when they started building with the tr3650

Yes the 11 inch should be correct for the Bullitt. I believe it was a cobra clutch and all came with the TR3650 Tremec. But what I was getting at with the motors being different is some have found 6 bolt and some have found 8 bolt cranks from what I have read. I can't confirm this personally though.

Not sure on the crank I have a 99 GT with an 8 bolt so I'm not sure you can go by that. And by the way blue is a nice one to see but I still love the old green color

I agree the green looks cool when clean and polished.
However, I like having the most rare color of Bullitt.

Did the bullitt Mustang use a different size size clutch?
