Question Do-It-Yourself Auto Shop in Baldwin Park California?

Just saw a ad for a DIY Shop in LA which allows you to work on your own car. They supply all the tools and equipment. Rates are somewhere between $15 and $25 an hour. Has anyone tried out it yet?

This is their website www.urdreamgarage.com

Thats a great idea for someone that doesnt have the money to pay a shop, dont have the space, or just likes to do their own work. But BP is a rough area. You really have to be careful there.

They did a segment on one of those in UK on Fifth Gear or Top Gear or one of those shows last year. I'm really surprised there aren't more of those around this country.

Ok, “I went to check out “Your Dream Garage “ yesterday to do my brakes. I tell you what, this place is legit. I rented a bay with a lift for an hour with no problems what so ever. They have every tool you can imagine. From tire mounting machines to hand and air tools to high end scan tools... The place is clean, well lit and easy to get to. If you are in or around the Los Angeles area and need a to work on your car, you can’t beat it... I told the guys there I would spread the word for them so here is a shameless plug on their behalf.. Check them out @ urdreamgarage.com

I would love something like that in San Diego.

$15/hour is worth it for big installs (gears,...)

It would be very useful too for changing the front bumper, but I feel a little on the expensive side as the only thing needed is actually the lift.

anyway, I'd probably take a couple days pass if there was one available

I tried to look for it but there wasn't anything either. I guess they are not a real shop or something. I checked your dream garage on FB and it looks quite impressive.
