What about what I suggested in another thread about getting chrome pony wheels?

Those do look like tuner wheels. The 93 Cobra wheels are cool, but don't look good on a classic either.

Completely forgot about those. I could do 17x6.5(same backspacing as stock) chrome ponys in the front and 17x8s(5.5" backspacing) in the rear.

OE Wheels also has a deal on silver Cobra R's with tires for $700.

Wow, that's pretty cheap. It's amazing how much difference there is between a set of those with tires and a set of "classic" wheels and tires. Any of the classic wheels in 15x7 with tires is around a grand. For a 2 in smaller wheel too.
