Default Performance heads?

What would be the best (as in performance and reliabilty) for heads on a 351W. 351W Performance heads, 351C heads, or do they make a 351c performance? I would think the best would be the 351C but you never know...

351w performance heads are easiest, but there are 2 brands of aluminum C heads that will work also.

Yes the w's would be easiest but Ive heard the c's would get alot more power on the 351w and would only need some drilling work done. Any idea what those 2 brands are called?

Yeah, Edelbrok and CHI...one of the stang mags has an article on a 660hp cleavor this month. What really matters is how much flow do you need for a given cam. W may be just right...

AFR heads are good, but in 2004 the winner of JEG'S Engine Masters Challenge was John Kaase. Who designed Heads specifically for the 302/351 engine call, the Kaase Heads, now sold through JEG’S. There not cheap but their flow characteristics are phenomenal. There only a few bucks more than the AFR heads but I think worth every cent!! Check?em out here

Cheers.....[sm=icon_cheers.gif]
