Yeah, its a 2 barrel, but the carburator isn't on it. SO i'll measure from the back. I really dont want to buy it if it's not a cleveland i have no need for a 400, except maybe to throw in my 67 truck which has a 352, which is giving us some problems.
352 can be easily swapped with a 390, I cant remember if you can ad a 390 crank and bore the 352 to a 390. I know you can with a 360. A 400 swap into a FE engined truck would need a few things, having the truck there to swap parts would be the best bet. Just info, let me know how it goes.
oh well i know that the 352 and 390 are almost the same. That engine has been hurt. It's smoking and blowing oil everywhere. It just started doing it. Who knows what it is. I haven't really looked at it.IM JUST PRAYING IT'S A CLEVELAND
They arent much more than $10K are they? If the 71 Doesnt sell within a year of completion, its getting something huge like that. Probably the 460 I have layin around with some CJ heads...
Lat I checked they were around 600 on pump gas. You dont want none from my Pontiacs either I assume. The fastest has a 740hp pump gas engine that is out for a freshening... its only a 467ci Pontiac... not much there..lol. I think my slowest car runs a mid 13, not sure what this mustang will run when its done. 12s would be nice but not absolutely needed, just nice.
my 70 GTO ran 13.5s @105 with 2.93 gears, its 4100lbs race weight doesnt help it much, but the bored 455 with ported heads and a mild cam sure do... Clevelands are about the only small engine I mess with if its supposed to be fast. Otherwise I like big engines, especially when its pullin a heavy car like a 71 Fastback.
