Default Stone deflector...

Is that piece above the front valance and bumper called a stone deflector? And does it needed and special mounting brackets or does it bolt up to the radiator support and the fenders like the valence?

Thats what it's called and you'll only need the bolts and clips to install it.

What year of mustang? Why do you guys assume we know what you have. I'm figuring you have a 67 by your name but I'm not sure. It mounts to the rad support on a 67 by way of three angle brackets. Two of the brakets go on the rad support with some special funky flat headed bolts. One goes on the hood latch brace. Those same bolts are used to mount the deflector to the brackets. You can get the kits on line.

Yeah, that's what it is called. Keeps stuff from jumping into the radiator. Lots of rocks in Texas, so we need it.

And it's a real thin piece of metal, so be careful putting it on so you don't bend it and put a wrinkle in it.
