What is the source of this article? I have not heard of these problems. FWIW, many vehicles come from the factory with aluminum heads and cast blocks, including the Hemi in my Ram truck.

The fact that the aluminum dissipates heat faster is in fact a positive not a negative. Generally speaking, you can run a 1 point higher compression ratio due to this.

Default RE: GT40 Heads

ok i'll clear this for ya all right here and now

a) modern gasket technology means mating aluminum to cast iron is no big deal

b) going 150,000 miles and not changing antifreeze is what eats up aluminum water jackets

c) its better for aluminum heads to warp and cause a gasket to pop if things get too hot - a head can always be resurfaced which is better (and ALOT cheaper) than a cracked cast iron head

d) if you have a lower compression motor CAST IRON IS BETTER THAN ALUMINUM (if we're talking identical head designs) this is exactly opposite for high compression motors.
