I have a 68 302 coupe. It currently has a rebuilt engine and headers. I think i will be taking the headers off due to the amount of problems they have been causing, they are heatin things up, wires etc.. and ive tried covers and what not but every coule of years they burn threw sumthin. I would get the stock manafold. What other uprgrades do you guys recomend to add some power. I have only added a kickass sound system so far. I am open to any and all suggestions so get crazy hah. Please provide details on any suggestions to help me out thanx guys! -adam

 

if you're having a problem with the headers heating up and you are looking to get more power out, DON'T switch back to the stock exhaust manifold. get yourself a set of ceramic coated headers. they'll aleviate your heat problem a bit. you can also try a set of wire protectors, dunno how good they work, but may help a bit.


other stuff for power, without re-building your engine again, new heads, from what i hear trick flow has a great set out, a bigger cam, new intake, dual plane if you wanna keep it very streetable, new carb. you have a lot of options, just depends on how much you wanna do. you wanna just bolt something on and be on the road, go for a new intake manifold and a new carb. you wanna go a little further into it, new heads, cam, intake, carb. a carb spacer may give you a few more ponies, nothing to write home about, but a small step.
