Default Intake manifold Question

A friend of mine gave me heads, intake manifold and valve covers from an 83 302 ho. I ma wondering if the intake manifold will work on my 65. The manifold is for a 4 bbl carb but it had a strange rectangular hole next to the carb holes. I am unsure as to what this hole is and whether it will prevent me from using this intake.

I might just go ahead and get a performer manifold and call it a day.

Good idea. If you plan to upgrade, think about the Stealth or RPM manifold.
