IMO it would be easier and cheaper to just buy a 289 and add some small mods than turbo a I6 and have to upgrade everything...
Swapping to a 289 takes a lot more than small mods. The engine itself may cost more than the turbo, not counting the suspension and everything else that would need changed with the bigger motor.

to turbo a classic u'd have to build ur own kit. I don't think it would be that hard. Blow through set ups aren't as good though. U'd need a box for the carb and the rest is just like any other turbo kit. Remote mount wouldn't be that hard, just a lot of piping

Hahaha, put a skyline engine in it. The geniuses at F&F have proved that as the best way to get the high pitched sound out of your Mustang. Put a fart can on it too.
