thats the only thing ford did right on these cars..... no rag joints.
It's not such a good thing if youre in a wreck and the whole steering column comes toward your face! The point of the rag joint is so it will break in a wreck and not send the steering column into you.

u get a 67-68 column and steering box and bolt it in 67 and up also have thwe collapsable3 steering column a good saftey feature to have(when u hit it it pushes in and instead of shattering all ur ribs)
