Default Clicking Sound at Idle

Hello Everyone, I am new to this forum because I finally was given my dad's 1966 Ford Mustang. My lovely classic has a 200cc Straight Six engine with dual exhaust and a single barrel auto choke carb. I have owned this sweet ride for about a year now and have been working all the time with it. I recently just got it back up and running after rebuilding the carburetor and fixing the timing. Now that I have it running, I have found a strange clicking sound coming from the manifold side of the engine. I have not been able to pin point exactly where the sound comes from, but I was wondering if any of you enthusiasts has an idea. I asked my father who has worked on a couple of mustangs, but he wasn't sure. Please help!!!

It's an exhaust manifold leak. Replace the exhaust manifold gasket.

Soaring, Thank you for the info. I will replace that ASAP and see how it goes.

Try tightening up your exhaust manifold bolts first. It's a long shot, but you might be able to stop the leak like that and not have to replace the gasket. Hope this helps.

Good luck,
Barry
