Default am i being thick?

Looking at the two FAQ's for installing ignitor and they are slightly contradictor, i was told the va-mustang was the right way to do it as the other one seem far more complex, am i correct?

If you are sure you will always get at least 7.5 volts to your coil, then just hook it up to the coil and don't go around the pink resistor wire. In other words, just hook it up like the pertronix directions says to do it. However, if you want to play it safe, then get your 12 volts from the ignition like is stated in one of the ways to do it, therefore bypassing the resistor wire. That is the best way.

If you have enough faith in something to buy it you should have enough faith that the guy who made it knows how to hook it up.

DGA that is so untrue in many ways to quote me grandfather "you get the best out of experts when you know more than they do!!!"

Yes it will. But again, for whatever reason, if the voltage to the coil drops below 7.5, the pertronix will shut off. Just keep your set of points and a screw driver handy. It takes a little more time and effort to hook to the ignition switch, but you will always be assured of 12 volts that way.
