you'll have to get back to us on those sumitomo's after you get more miles on them. I heard that they are prone to sidewall cracking and blistering after you get some miles on them. I think it was actually in tireracks customer reviews were I read multiple instances of that....keep an eye out

The tire speed ratings are very conservative. They will run at that speed while having the maximum tire load applied in less than optimal conditions. A 112mph tire will have no problem with the occasional run up to 140mph, or about any drag race you'll be getting in to.

Thanks mojoe. I never read one about those issues. I guess I didn't read em all. The reason I got them is because my brother has them in the front of his 93 z28 and I don't think he's had any problems with them. He has a lot more miles on his than I do on mine. According to tirerack they also have real good tread life and are good in the rain.

hey my mistake bud, it was the dunlop's that had the cracking issues, not yours. Here is the review page for your sumitomo's. http://www.tirerack.com/survey/Surve...escending=true

No problem. I thought I was going a little crazy for a minute there. The direct link doesn't work btw.

No, but if you select Sumitomo from that selection there and then pick your tire series it should direct you to the tire reviews for those.
