Talked to Jack today at MAE and placed the order - 8" posi with 3.25 gears (I know a compromise but I will be doing freeway in the car big time, so at 85 that is closing in on 4000 rpm anyhoot, any larger and it would become too much).

It cost $589 with a $75 deposit and $55 for shipping and insurance (I will send mine back to MAE with my old open diff and they should give me back the $75 - no cost for shipping the old unit back). I thought this was a pretty good deal and cheaper than anything I have seen on ebay ($750 plus shipping there).

The only bad part was that they don't take credit card so it will be several weeks to send a money order back, wait to clear, then send.......... feelin' a little dial up there but I am not in a hurry so no worries

Can't wait to get it in

hey Im a bit late by the sounds of it!

IMO its not about the 300hp. Either setup can handle that and its plenty enough grunt to break the tail away for a "fun sporty car". its the way thetruetrac deliversthe power. it's so much quicker to respond to the loss of traction to the inside wheel.

if its only an extra$200, I would buy the truetrac everyday of the week.
clutch lsd's just dont do it for me after driving a truetrac
