clevor thinking

RE: clevor thinking
if the block is prepped for Cleveland heads it doesnt matter if your using 2v or 4v heads - but either way the heads would need to be modified as well as shown in the picture above (theres other mods too i believe i just dont remember them)
doesnt matter which heads you use, if your going to put a bigger cam in there you always want to check clearances so you dont have the guides smashing into the retainers, coil bind, improper spring pressure, etc.

yea it was. it was under the thread boss clone. and if u remember it than what did u think. it was a 302w with the cleve 2v heads, a 542 lift cam, everything built for me, all i need is the intake and headers, and it was 2500. do u think thats a little too much or just what i would spend to get the machining done.

RE: clevor thinking
which one the crate motor, or the one i would hope to piece together or both
also on a side note, if i were to switch heads from the 2v to the 4v would the pushrods be the same size?

RE: clevor thinking
either way.... which heads did that crate have? ideally with a 302 you want 2V aussie heads or the aftermarket ones. if your going 2V heads you need to make sure the compression is gonna be up where it needs to be

RE: clevor thinking
well the crate comes with just plain old 2v cleve heads, i think i would take them off and do a good bit of port work. maybe a little bigger cam, and be done with it.
