if you go 4v heads the pistons in that crate might hit the chambers. if your gonna dig into the motor just build it from the ground up

looks like a windsoe intake on this clevor
Wrong! It is a special intake made by B&A, which can be found on ebay once in a while, but not for cheap. The link and article answers all these type ofquestions once again for the search challenged. If you can get the intake for less than $300 and have all the other parts laying around, it might be worth it. There is definitely a uniqueness factor here. Otherwise, aluminum heads generally are better for a many reasons.
Don't get me wrong, I don't regret my stroker clevor at all. But that was 12 years ago when I built it.

i believe that there is a company that is starting to make them again. plus the company would supply me with the intake, for an extra 400.

DO NOT PORT THE HEADS! The 2V is more than big enough to support the 302. The chances of gaining anything from porting are slim, because the engine still wont need all the airflow it already will have. It will be a high winder even with the 2V heads on it. Do yourself a favor and dont port or mess with the heads. The only thing that any 2V head needs is the bump taken out of the exhaust port
when they came on 351/400M engines. Even that is marginal and doesnt gain a huge amount.

CHI has an intake that will work. Otherwise its Ebay looking for one. the Windsor intakes wont work, mainly because the flanges are smaller than the ports. looks like I need to get outside and tear some engines down to show you guys.
