1966 Mustang Coupe.
Light Blue ( Color Code F )
89k original miles.
V-8 289 - Cam - Holly 4bbl and Edelbrock performer manifold
Power steering
Dual Exhaust
Pony Interior - very clean
AM/FM Cassette, kick plate & rear deck speakers
GT Driving lights
C4 Automatic transmission ( stock 2.80 rear end )
Here's the History:
I shopped long and hard and bought this car from a Ford mechanic in Washington. No rust ( a tiny bit inside drivers door ) , low miles, very clean. He put a moderate cam into the V-8, new Holly 4bbl carb, Edelbrock manifold, and Flowmaster dual exhaust.
My son put the car into a curb & bent the right rear frame rail and the right rear qtr panel has a crack above the wheel well. Insurance adjust said it was a shame, but she'd have to total the car. I bought it from insurance, and had the local Ford Dealership repair the frame rail ( body shop mgr was a Mustang guy ). Thus, the Title reads "salvaged".
While it was in the shop: I had all new suspension parts installed ( bought "Grab-a-Trak" kit from Mustangs Plus - Upper and Lower Control Arms, spring perches, bushings, shocks and coils. Had front control arms mounted 1" lower ( Shelby configuration ) for improved handling.
4 1/2 leaf springs - (mid-eye mount) & shackles; new shocks, new coils and pads. Inner and outer tie rod rod ends.
Bought all new -- 15" x 7" Styled Steel Wheels & 215/60R15 Tires. Drove car home from the shop and have been waiting to proceed to the paint step.
I bought, but have not installed: original Quarter panels ( right and left ); as new condition 3.20 ratio 3rd member for rear end, new gas tank, door sill plates, front window molding kit ( new parts from Mustangs Plus ).
It's right now at the point where it's time to decide how to handle the body work & and paint.
I don't have the money to continue the project, so somebody can get a great 66 Coupe.
First $5k cash - takes. Look at the pictures, it's really clean.
Please email me if you'd like to see it, and thanks for looking!

That does look nice! I wonder why he bought left and right quarter panels though. Does that mean they need to be replaced?

Yeah I emailed him asking about that stuff. You know I saw that last night and passed over it when I read that it was wrecked! Silly me. I guess you never know what you could find. That thing might drive on 3 wheels though if they didnt' fix it right, hehe.

Alright, got an email back from the guy if anyone is interested.
Both quarters will prolly need replacing as there is a crack in one and flairing in the other. The gas tank is out of the car. All in all, I bet it was an awesome deal for someone to spend some work on. Too bad. He says that someone emailed him today saying he'll buy it right then, but he told me it wasn't a for sure and that he's been getting a lot of interst on it. So if anyone is interested, I'm sure you can still email the guy.
