If the Dems would not roadblock drilling in ANWR(arctic national wildlife reserve)up here in Alaska, we and all our children and their children would have plenty of gas. Carter was the most worthless president we ever had If you don't understand, google ANILCA and you'll read what Carter did to Alaska.

or if they would just figure out how a more efficient process to extract the sand from the oil sands in canada that would be nice but china is really into that cause there is an estimated 10 time more oil there than there was in the middle east its just that its tooo expensive to extract it right now

Actually,I think it becomes viable with current techniques at oil prices above $50 per barrel. As soon as oil companies/wild catters figure that the price of oil will consistently remain above $50/barrel, you'll see large scale extraction of crude from the tar sands in Canada and places like Wyoming in the US (at least until the environmentalists block it).

If anybody has seen ANWAR, they'll realize what a joke the protection of this environment is (it's not the Kenai peninsula). Don't get me wrong, I think it is our duty to protect the world's environment; however, I don't worship mother earth, either. A little bit of common sense needs to be injected into the current envionmental discussions in this country.

Past tense? So you agree that he is no longer the worst president we ever had?
