Just when I thought...
It was all done, this happens. I think I have learned the truth about mustangs - they are never really "finished." [&:]
I got it all ready to go down to the inspection place and get a sticker, and I threw it in reverse, backed up for a 3 point turn in the driveway, put it in drive, and NOTHING. Apparently, last week when I changed the filter out on the tranny pan, it has been leaking ever since, and I was all out of fluid. No problem, I put some fluid back in it and re-park it. Now I have to ask - did the guy at O'Reilly's screw up when he said "no sealant is needed, just the gasket?"
Another problem I was having when doing that gasket was that I could get all 12 (or so) bolts to go in evenly at the same time. I did after a long time of frustration, but is there an easier way? And is there a specific torque I need to get the pan bolts to? I just sorta tightened up as I went, and when I went back today, I could get another 1/4 turn out of them.
edit: ach....just read the FAQ after I posted this and saw that I do need to torque 15-20 ft lbs., I did need some sealant, and I should have tested it a little more at the time[:@]

depends on the gasket if its a cork type yes if its the rubber type no but i always use some just in case. basicly every nut in bolt on a car has a torque setting. id torque then fill it up and drive it see if it leaks any
I just had a cork gasket and I put all the bolts in then went around skipping each bolt, semi-tightening them all. then I went back and just hand torqued them until they were tight. I didn't use sealant and it didn't leak, but then I ended up having to get the tranny rebuilt, so it was all redone by the shop anyway [:@]
