Default New Intake Question

I took off the stock 2V on my 351C and it has some kindof pan type thing on the bottom see pic below.

Does the new intake require reqire this or not.

I saw that same pan type thing at O'Rilies where i got my felpro gasket i call them and said i needed the gasket they said they had 2 differentkinds one was the regular fel pro the other looked like the bottom of the stock intake. I was going to just use a regular felprogasket and then sealer on the front and back does that sound right or do i need that pan like thing.

Are you sure that new intake will work, because I see ports on the old one that ain't on the new one? feel free to correct me if I am wrong, but the lack of those two ports one at the left hand side and one in middle worries me.

you dont need that thing on the bottom, its for hot oil splashing on the bottom of the intake - and the center holes are just to warm things up when its cold, thats fine if you dont have those.

the port on the end...... damnit i forget but i think thats emissions too..... as long as its not water, your fine

The hole in the middle was actuall blocked off on the factory intake.

I thought that was just for the oil it is an air gap intake so dont have to worry too much about the hot oil.
