The parts you selected won't work anyway, that crank/rod/piston combo will put the pistons .099" above deck, you'd never get the heads on. A stroker setup will need a shorter pin height piston. Best way for what you want, the GT40 heads, the crank/rods you got, get them reconditioned/ground, decent pistons and a bit bigger cam. The intake should be ok, but those Vic Jr heads are WAY bigger than what you need, they're for horsepower ranges well in excess of 450hp n/a.

This is some good info, I have been looking at things to put in my 351. I am interested in a good set of alum, heads.... I was always told the fords like a bigger cam. Good heads and Cam will make a 351 run like crazy.....

I am having a little difficulty getting the old cam bearings out. Short of pounding them out with a screwdriver and a hammer can anyone recommend a better way to get them out?

With a cam bearing driver tool. Since you don't have one, let a shop do it. It'll only take like 5 minutes with the right tool, and the same one is used to put new bearings in
